Really Rough Remote Madagascar Tour Northbound: Tamatave to Maroantsetra/Masoala by Off-Road Car
(Note: This tour is NOT comfortable, and is not a mainstream route or destination. Tourists do not go here. It is for serious explorers or anybody who wants to get WAY off the beaten path. There aren't opportunities for sightseeing or comfort, for special diets or luxuries, or for tourist cultural experiences. The whole trip and the transit IS the experience, and is rough, and very tiring.)
DAY 1 : TOAMASINA-SOANIERAN’IVONGO
Leaving Toamasina in afternoon

DAY 2: SOANIERAN’IVONGO-MANOMPANA
Taking the first ferry soon in the morning

DAY 2 : MANOMPANA – ANTANAMBE
After the breakfast, visit a reserve Ambodiriana ( 240 ha, you can find Avahi larriger, Aye Aye, Eulemur rubriventer, Indri, Indri, uroplatus fimbrietus, orchids…)

DAY 3: ANTANAMBE-MANANARA
Antanambe is famous by his white sand, we can swim
After the breakfast, continuation to Mananara

Continuation by off road car
