This morning you will be picked up from your chosen location/accommodation. From here, you will depart Moroni for a visit to the old sultan’s capital of Iconi. Enjoy scenic views of the two volcanic cones next to the village, the mangroves of Lake Marabou, and the ruins of the sultan’s palace. Continue south to view the Singani lava flow, and then to the southern sultan’s capital and medina of Foumbouni, finishing at Chindini beach, from which the local boats depart carrying passengers to the other islands. Along the way you will view baobab trees and other local plantations. Lunch is included today.
After the tour, you will be transferred back to your accommodation.

“We only had 11 days for our tour in November 2013, and a varied program fully satisfies us (Tana-Ifaty with Manakara train). All activities were well organized. We enjoyed our Désiré driver. The hotels were both simple, but always correct; especially that of Isalo with beautiful swimming pool, with a very good guide for the Jerome Park. We were 5 people in the minibus, so the seats unoccupied areas, which was nice for these long distances.”
