Mayotte as the pearl of the Indian Ocean is a blend of ylang-ylang oil, Arabic aesthetics, African warmth, and French chic. Not only this, but it has a colorful history of sultans and sea pirates, plantation owners, and eloping princesses. Today, explore charming local villages and beautiful beaches. 

Today the tour will depart from the cruise port and include a visit to the Dzaoudzi Village the museum MUMA and the mangrove site of Dzaoudzi. Then continue the tour by the Ferry to Mamoudzou and drive to the fields of the Guerlain Plantation with its rows of ylang-ylang and proceed to the staircase of Acoua. Today will include a visit to Lake Karihani, a freshwater natural lake in Mayotte. The last stop prior to departing back to the cruise port will be at N’Gouja Beach, at the extreme southwest part of the island, to swim with turtles and observe flying bats and lemurs scampering about. 

Note - guests will stop for lunch at a local Zam Zam restaurant.
