Exclusive trip to the Comoros: 11 days of exploration.

Voici comment votre voyage se déroulera.

Jour 1 : Arrivée à Moroni, prenez-nous tout en charge.

Upon your arrival at the airport, we'll greet you with a smile. We'll then transfer you comfortably to the Hotel Retaj, where you can drop off your luggage, relax, and recover from your journey. When you're ready, we'll set off together for an initial stroll through Moroni, allowing you to soak up the city's atmosphere, wander its streets, and discover some of its iconic landmarks. The day will conclude peacefully at the hotel, where you can enjoy a delicious dinner and a well-deserved rest.

Jour 2 : Découvrons ensemble la Grande Comore.

This day trip invites you to explore Grande Comore at your own pace and with ease. The journey takes you through coastal villages and plantations, with landscapes gradually opening up to Mount Karthala and the ancient volcanic formations of the Diboini Plateau. In Mbeni, a pleasant break will allow you to discover vanilla and share a convivial moment with traditional dances. Further on, nature continues to amaze you with the dragon-shaped rocks, the salt lake, and the sacred baobabs of Mitsamihouli, before an authentic encounter with local fishermen during a traditional octopus fishing trip in Ivoini. The day ends peacefully with a return to the Retej Hotel, where you can relax and enjoy a well-deserved rest.

Jour 3 : Direction Mohéli, tout simplement.

The journey continues to Mohéli, a peaceful and unspoiled island. After settling into the Les Abou ecolodge, the evening offers a rare and moving experience: observing sea turtles coming to lay their eggs on Itsamia beach.

Jour 4:  Cette journée se déroule au rythme paisible de Mohéli.

We begin at Lake Boudouni, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you'll have time to observe the birds and listen to nature. In Fomboni, a stroll through the spice market will allow you to immerse yourself in the island's aromas and experience a glimpse of local life. Next, we head to Miringoni Falls, ideal for a refreshing break and a swim in the natural surroundings. The journey continues with a visit to an ylang-ylang distillery, followed by a pleasant walk in Wallah I, where you can observe the impressive and fascinating Livingstone's fruit bats in their natural habitat. At the end of the day, the peaceful return to the ecolodge will give you time to relax and enjoy the tranquility of the island.

Jour 5:   Une pause, tout simplement, à Mohéli.

Take the time to wake up, listen to your desires, and let the day unfold naturally. Some will explore the lagoon, go snorkeling, or take a boat trip. Depending on the season, it's even possible to spot whales offshore, an experience that's always memorable. Others will choose to stay on Sambadjou beach, walk barefoot in the sand, relax in the shade, contemplate the sea, and savor the tranquility. A peaceful and authentic day, with nothing to prove: just the pleasure of being there, in Mohéli.

            Jour 6: Flight to Anjouan

After your flight, you'll be met upon arrival and then taken to your hotel. You'll have time to drop off your luggage, settle in, and recover from the journey. Later, you'll set off to explore Mutsamudu on foot, at a leisurely pace. The ancient citadels tell the island's story, the medina invites you to stroll and wander, and the local market offers a true glimpse into daily life, both simple and vibrant. The day ends peacefully back at the Hotel Johann, where you can relax and enjoy the evening.

Day 7:  A day in Anjouan

After breakfast, we set off at a leisurely pace, driving through the plantations of the Patsy Pass. We take our time to admire the scenery, observe the surrounding life, and soak up the island's atmosphere. Our first stop is the Tatringa Falls. It's a simple and pleasant spot, perfect for a break, listening to the rushing water, and enjoying the moment. The road continues to an ylang-ylang distillery. There, we learn how the flowers are processed, chat with the people there, and gain a deeper understanding of the importance of this fragrance to Anjouan. A visit to the  presidential mausoleum also provides an opportunity to discuss the country's history, calmly and without rushing. Passing through the farming villages of Nioumakelé, we witness the daily lives of the inhabitants, their crops, their homes, and life as it truly is. Lunch is a simple picnic on Moya beach, overlooking the sea. A free moment to eat, relax, and enjoy the surroundings. At the end of the day, return to the Hotel Johann to rest and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Day 8: We hit the road, heading south

The day begins peacefully on the drive back to Moroni. We travel at a leisurely pace, stopping wherever the scenery or atmosphere appeals to us. We pass through the village of Iconi on foot, taking the time to look around, observe daily life, and absorb the history of the place. A little further on, Lake Marabou offers a moment of tranquility. We stop there for a few moments, simply to enjoy the surroundings. The road then continues through spice plantations. The aromas are everywhere, and the journey becomes almost a leisurely stroll. We also stop near the twin baobab trees, imposing and silent, before reaching Chindini Beach. It's a good time to relax, walk along the water's edge, or simply gaze at the sea. Before arriving in Moroni, we discover the lava flows left by the 1977 eruption, a striking place that serves as a reminder of the volcano's power. The day ends with arrival in Moroni and check-in at the Golden Tulip, to rest after a busy day.

Day 9: Take the time to discover the villages and their history

We leave the hotel and take the road without rushing. We head toward Itsandra. The fortress stands above the sea. We stop, we look around, we stay for a while. There is nothing to explain — the place speaks for itself. After that, we walk down into the old medina. We wander through the narrow streets, let people pass, and watch life unfold around us. Life goes on, and we are simply there, in the middle of it. We then continue toward the villages of the west. These are quiet, simple places. We pass through, stop whenever we feel like it. We look at the houses, the fields, the people. Sometimes we exchange a few words, sometimes just a smile. A little further on, we reach the vanilla fields. We stop again. We breathe in the scent, touch the plants, and begin to understand how things are done here. Then we slowly make our way back toward Moroni. At the end of the day, we return to the Golden Tulip. We set our bags down, rest, and let the day settle in — quietly, naturally.

Jour 10 : Sortie en mer pour observer les dauphins.

We board the boat and slowly drift away from the shore. The sea is calm, the air is fresh, and we let ourselves be carried by the current. We move at a leisurely pace, our eyes fixed on the water, without speaking much. Sometimes, a movement catches our attention… and dolphins appear. In season, it's also possible to spot whales. We observe them silently, from a distance, and simply enjoy the present moment. At one point, the boat stops. Those who wish can slip into the water for a little snorkeling, with no obligation whatsoever: simply swim and look beneath the surface. Others remain on board, sitting and contemplating the sea. Then we slowly make our way back to the shore, without rushing. Back at the hotel, we drop off our luggage, rest, and let this day gently come to an end.

Jour 11 : Derniers instants avant le départ.

The last few hours pass peacefully, each at their own pace. A final coffee, a last stroll, or simply a moment to sit and reflect on the trip. Then, off to the airport. The journey is calm, without resentment. Once they arrive, it's time to say goodbye. The stay ends, and the journey continues in a different way, through memories.
