Ready to set off into the night to observe the natural ninjas of the north? The Black Lemurs live in a small park and reserve camp within driving distance from Diego Suarez, and are best observed at night at their most active.
Surrounded by a beautiful landscape of mountains and forests, Black Lemur Camp is located in the village of Anjahankely, nestled in the heart of the protected area of Andrafiamena. It has a strong main attraction: tropical forests covered with sandstone and some bizarre blocks of limestone with dry forests and transitioning into other ecosystems... a unique habitat for flora and fauna, all endemic and including our furry friends.
“We only had 11 days for our tour in November 2013, and a varied program fully satisfies us (Tana-Ifaty with Manakara train). All activities were well organized. We enjoyed our Désiré driver. The hotels were both simple, but always correct; especially that of Isalo with beautiful swimming pool, with a very good guide for the Jerome Park. We were 5 people in the minibus, so the seats unoccupied areas, which was nice for these long distances.”
