La Digue Self Guided Cycling Shore Excursion with Anse Source d'Argent Access

With its laid-back atmosphere and a lifestyle remaining as if time has never passed, the island of La Digue in Seychelles captures the essence of yesteryear. The coastline, one enchanting bay after another, is studded with gorgeous beaches. The hilly interior is cloaked with tangled jungle, tropical trees and hiking trails.

Despite being the third-most inhabited island in the country and only being 15-minute ferry ride from Praslin, the vast majority of La Digue is untouched by development.  On this tour, we are going to roam around the island on an old-fashioned, eco-friendly bicycle just like most of the locals and visitors.

From the port, paddle to the quaint harbor and La Passe Village and experience fine examples of Créole architecture. Continue to the historical sites L’Union Estate and the Copra Mill, an informal 'theme park', which houses the Old Plantation House, vanilla plantations, a colonial-era graveyard, a boatyard and the obligatory pen of giant tortoises.

Cycle past the postcard-perfect coconut farm and arrive at Anse Source d'Argent, the most photographed beach in the world. Its dazzling white sands are lapped by shallow azure waters, with La Digue's most beautiful granite boulders and craning coconut trees as a backdrop.

This tour is ideal for the adventurous seeking to explore La Digue island on their own, where tourists are greeted by our island representative for a short briefing on the most popular sites, best routes and lunch venues, before our guide hands over a map and the bicycles for the day's adventure. A perfect outing for a day of self-discovery.

Reviews

“Hello Sasha,We had a GREAT TIME in Madagascar. Our guide and driver, FRANK was EXCELLENT!!! My husband has a walking problem and he adjusted our time schedule to my husband's need for rest. Our fantastic tour guide in Andasibe Natl Park, DIZZI (I hope I spelled it correctly) was able to show us numerous unique flowers, plants, insets and Lemurs when we were there. I will highly recommended your company. When we get back to Los Angeles, I'll write a review in TripAdvisor. The only problem was the hotel's wifi that was so poor to almost nonexistent but perhaps, that's everywhere in Andasibe. Thank you.”
